3 Great NEW Books by Christine K Fields

I have now read three new books by Christine K Fields and they are once again all a 5 out of 5 star rating for children.


This time I read Nuff and His Amazing Friends, The Young and the Brave, and There’s More To Life Than Mac & Cheese.


There’s More to Life Than Mac & Cheese is a perfect book for your children that are picky eaters. The book is about Nuff trying to convince his friend that one can not live on Mac and Cheese alone. Everyday he tries to convince her to at least try a PB&J. Finally she gives in and finds out that there is indeed more to life than Mac & Cheese. I would recommend this one for a little older group of children because it is more of a poem than the other books and has some larger words in it to add to their vocabulary.


Nuff And His Amazing Friends is all about teaching children to get along with everyone. She brings in different cultures and also people who may be considered different at school but shows that they all can get along. Once again I would say this is for an older age range than her first three books because of vocabulary used in the book.


The last book I reviewed was The Young And The Brave. It is about Nuff trying to learn how to ride a bicycle without training wheels. He is very scared in the beginning and falls off a couple of times and gets a scratch. His brother and mom explain to him that this part of learning how to ride a bike without training wheels and convince him to get back on the bike. In the end he conquers his fears and starts riding along all by himself with no trouble at all. This is a good book for kids of any age that are scared to try something new and need a little nudge in the right direction.


Once again Christine K Fields has nailed some tough topics that come up while raising children and helps parents have a go to book to help them when they need a book that will help fix a problem.

Genre Children’s Books I read three books by this author and all three were 5 star reads for children! I read Alphabet Stuff With Nuff, Saving Money Makes Cents,  Teamwork Makes Dream Work all by this author.  The Alphabet Stuff With Nuff book is a great way to get pre-K kids excited about learning letters and counting. It is all done in rhyme and had me laughing in parts. I would recommend the adult read through it a couple of times before reading it to their children. There are some wicked twisters in this one. The goal is to get your children to learn their alphabet and simple counting while you read the book. They have to count each time that letter comes and add them up. The answers of the number of letters in each rhyme are thankfully in the back of the book. The other two books I would say are more of kindergarten age book, One teaches about saving money and how fast it goes if you don’t pay attention. Windswept by Annabelle McCormack

Windswept Saga Book 1 Narrated by Elizabeth Grace Genre - Intrigue, Mystery, Romance Rating - 5 out of 5 Narration Rating - 5 out of 5 This book had me hooked from the beginning. It was so full of twist, turns, and mysterious circumstances that it just grabbed me in and I hated to stop listening even for bed. This book is sent in 1917 during WWI in Egypt. It has a lot of different characters but they are very easy to follow. It is about a woman thrown into a world of murder and mayhem in the war-ravaged Arabian desert where one wrong turn can get you killed. She has no clue who to trust and people keep showing up telling her that she can trust them but she has no idea which one is telling the truth. I have to give a shout-out to the narrator for keeping the book flowing and also her wide range of voices for each character. A Cowboy Christmas Legend by Linda Broday

Genre - Christmas Fiction Rating - 5 out of 5 stars I picked out this book because of my ongoing obsession with cowboys. Plus I wanted to get into the Christmas spirit early this year. This book definitely didn’t disappoint.  This book is about a Texas Ranger running from grief and a women coming to grips with her own past. As they work together they end up bonding together to help rescue and take care of a Mother and her two children plus helping with a case for the Texas Rangers. The plot is a very stereotypical romance but it did not disappoint. With all the happy endings that we all look for at Christmas time. So if you are looking for a nice easy Christmas book to read I would definitely recommend this steamy Christmas read.
