Narrated by Lizzie Wofford Genre - Women’s Fiction Rating - 5 out of 5 stars Narration - 4 out of 5 stars This book will have you laughing out loud and crying throughout the book. It was such a fun book to listen to and review. This book is about a lady who has lost her job at the same time that her brother broke both his arms and cannot run his knitting store for 6 weeks ( yes men do knit!) The book is set outside of London so some of the references to knitting may be confusing to Americans. It starts with a premature baby that does not have enough warm clothes small enough for him to wear especially hats. While the characters knit him little hats to help keep him warm and idea sparks and from there a charity is formed. There is a knit along in the book to help this charity and a little romance thrown in and it makes the perfect book for crafters to list to while knitting. That narration was great. Fast paced but slow enough that you can keep up. Now I only gave it 4 stars on...

Narrator - Cassandra Campbell Genre - Women’s Fiction Format - Audiobook  Rating - 5 out of 5 stars Narration - 5 out of 5 stars This book was a bit confusing to me at the first because it kept going back and forth between three different people at different times in history. Although I tend not to read up much on a book I am reviewing I did look up what this book was about and then the different people and timelines fit. This was a very good book about three different women living in three different eras and how different women were looked at during those times. The one of the ladies was a nurse in World War 2 where she meets her husband. The other two had different struggles in their lives as well. This is about a grandmother the WW2 nurse, her daughter an alcoholic, and the granddaughter who is caught between her grandmothers world and living with an alcoholic mom. The narrator was great.   Genre - Children’s Books I have now read three new books by Christine K Fields and they are once again all a 5 out of 5 star rating for children. This time I read Nuff and His Amazing Friends, The Young and the Brave, and There’s More To Life Than Mac & Cheese. There’s More to Life Than Mac & Cheese is a perfect book for your children that are picky eaters. The book is about Nuff trying to convince his friend that one can not live on Mac and Cheese alone. Everyday he tries to convince her to at least try a PB&J. Finally she gives in and finds out that there is indeed more to life than Mac & Cheese. I would recommend this one for a little older group of children because it is more of a poem than the other books and has some larger words in it to add to their vocabulary. Genre - Historical Fiction Rating 5 out of 5 stars This was one of those books I sometimes get that are a drop everything and read kind of books. I was amazed when I got approved for this book.  This book was a page turner for sure. It is sent durning WW1 and The Spanish Influenza outbreak. I have to warn people this is not a light hearted book. It takes on some tough subjects. Although if you have read Sandra Dallas before you know that is how most of her books are. There are a lot of deaths in this book and also some talk about the kids that were orphaned during this terrible time. I absolutely loved it. That may make me sound morbid but this era in time really fascinates me. Especially during this time in our history. Narrated by Mike Paul Genre - Historical Fiction Format - Audiobook Rating - 5 out of 5 stars Narration Rating - 2 out of 5 stars I loved this book but the narration left me feeling a little let down. The narrator was very dry and had only three voices. One for the Nazi’s, one for the Jews, and one for the women. I like when all the voices are just a tad different. Now with that nastiness done I loved the actually book and storyline. The author brought to light a whole new side of things about the war and especially people who fled Germany before the war even started. In the beginning the main characters have fled Germany years before the war started and are living in a refugee camp. All that changes though.  The Nazi’s get a hold of the refugee camp and turn it into a prisoner camp. While this camp is not a “death” camp they are shipping people to the death camps from it. Genre - Historical Fiction Rating - 5 out of 5 stars This book had a very slow start but once I got into it a bit I was wowed. This was a great book about the nurses of WW2 and how strong they were, especially when working on the frontlines, and behind enemy lines in this case.  This book is about four nurses that go on a secret mission behind enemy lines. They did not know what they were doing when they first started out. They are just told that there is a solider behind enemy lines that needed their aid. It turns out that they were to help a solider but also go on a mission to find the German Reich’s secret weapon known only as the Giant. They decide to accept this mission and the insanity of WW2 starts. This gives us a peak (although fictional) behind enemy lines and what would have happened had they been caught. I must warn people that this book is not for the faint hearted. There are some bad things that happen along the way. There is talk of bombings and graphic descriptions ...
