All Her Little Secrets By Wanda M. Morris

Narrated by Susan Dalian Genre - Mystery/Thriller Book rating - 5 out of 5 stars Narration rating - 5 out of 5 stars Wanda M. Morris has a hit with her breakout novel. Set in Atlanta Georgia this books follows the ups and downs of being a African American woman in the corporate world of a town that is still very steeped in racism. Ellice Littlejohn has just been promoted to an executive position in a world full of white men after the suicide of her lover who held the position before her. As the book goes on we find out that this was not a suicide but a cold and calculated murder. Their are a a lot of shady dealings going on in the company that start to unravel in front of Ellice.  The narrator was great. She had me talking with a southern drawl while listening to this book. She keeps the characters alive and the book moves rather quickly. I would highly recommend this book in audio or book format. It had me guessing until the very end! Windswept by Annabelle McCormack

Windswept Saga Book 1 Narrated by Elizabeth Grace Genre - Intrigue, Mystery, Romance Rating - 5 out of 5 Narration Rating - 5 out of 5 This book had me hooked from the beginning. It was so full of twist, turns, and mysterious circumstances that it just grabbed me in and I hated to stop listening even for bed. This book is sent in 1917 during WWI in Egypt. It has a lot of different characters but they are very easy to follow. It is about a woman thrown into a world of murder and mayhem in the war-ravaged Arabian desert where one wrong turn can get you killed. She has no clue who to trust and people keep showing up telling her that she can trust them but she has no idea which one is telling the truth. I have to give a shout-out to the narrator for keeping the book flowing and also her wide range of voices for each character. A Cowboy Christmas Legend by Linda Broday

Genre - Christmas Fiction Rating - 5 out of 5 stars I picked out this book because of my ongoing obsession with cowboys. Plus I wanted to get into the Christmas spirit early this year. This book definitely didn’t disappoint.  This book is about a Texas Ranger running from grief and a women coming to grips with her own past. As they work together they end up bonding together to help rescue and take care of a Mother and her two children plus helping with a case for the Texas Rangers. The plot is a very stereotypical romance but it did not disappoint. With all the happy endings that we all look for at Christmas time. So if you are looking for a nice easy Christmas book to read I would definitely recommend this steamy Christmas read.

Fan Fiction by Brent Spiner

Genre - Mem-Noir inspired by true events Narrated by Brent Spiner and various others Book Rating - 4 out of 5 stars Narration Rating - 5 out of 5 stars So I had to do a little research on a what exactly a Mem-Noir was for this book. For those of you that don’t know from my research a Mem- Noir is a narrative of the author, about an important part of their life. It is not the whole of the authors life. In Brent Spiner’s book it takes him through the trials and tribulations that happened when he developed a stalker. It is set right at the beginning of Star Trek: The Next Generation series. It takes him on a terrifying and bizarre journey of having a stalker.  The narration was great. With an all star cast including Patrick Stewart, Jonathan Frakes, Levar Burton and many others from his life and the show. Narrated by Braden Wright Genre - General Fiction (Adult) Rating - 5 out of 5 stars Narration Rating - 5 out of 5 stars Publication Date as of now 10/26/2021 This book caught my attention because of the title. I love lighthouses and anything about them. Boy was I in for a good surprise! In this debut novel by Christopher Parker, a girl named Amy and her father head to the strange town of Seabrook. Amy’s mother has just died and she is grieving terribly. Strange things start to happen and Amy is having trouble figuring it all out. After a huge twist things start to fall into place and everything starts making sense. Braden Wright makes this somewhat dark book come alive with his narration. He keeps the book moving at a fast pace and sometimes while I was listening an hour would go by and I would not even realize it. Narrated by Saskatoon Maarleveld Format - Audiobook Genre - Fantasy Book Rating - 4 out of 5 stars Narration Rating - 4 out of 5 stars This audiobook was a great way to start my October reading pile off with. It had a little bit of everything witchy. A little romance and a lot of plot twists. This book is about a witch named Persephone who was abandoned at birth never knowing she was a witch. Strange things start to happen to her and all of a sudden she has found long lost relatives who also are witch’s. They must unite to save the Wile Isle from an 100 curse that can only be broken at a certain time.  At first I thought this book was going to be a lot like the series Charmed (the original not the reboot) because they kept talking about the power of three breaking the curse. Well it turns out she has even more family and it takes all of them to break the curse and I was pleasantly surprised that it was nothing like Charmed.
